Saint-Pierre's obvious progress since 2003 now places it as a great rival to its peers in Saint-Julien, even surpassing them in depth of flesh. Magnificent in recent vintages, such as the 2019 rated 95/100 by the Revue des Vins de France "Great success" or the 2020 rated 96/100 "one of the most accomplished and refined ever".

Revue du Vin de France : 93-94/100 « Dès le nez tout en fruit, le cru impose son charme. La matière est fondue, très intégrée et l’élevage se cale bien. La qualité des tanins est admirable et confère beaucoup de classe à la finale. »
Bettane & Desseauve : 95/100 ♥ Coup de cœur « Réussite majeure de son appellation pour son corps, sa définition de terroir et le fondu de son boisé, bien mieux intégré que par le passé. »
Le Point : 16.5-17/20 « Nez discret, réglisse, bouche aux tanins veloutés, sans faiblesse, finale relevée. »
Quarin : 95/100 « Beau rouge noir intense. [...) Délicatement charnu en entrée de bouche, aromatique au milieu, le vin fond au palais. A partir du milieu, monte un gras fin jusqu'en finale où le vin s'achève juteux, sur des tannins enrobés »
Galloni : 93-95/100 « The 2023 Saint-Pierre is packed with blackberry jam, gravel, lavender, dried herbs, spice and crushed rocks. There's a ton of character here. Incisive tannins and bright acids pull it all together in style. Give this at least a few years to soften. Tasted two times. »
Martin : 91-93/100 « This has a bit more animation and vigor than the Gloria, precise and fresh with plenty of black fruit and a lovely graphite note underneath. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins but there is clearly more concentration compared to the Gloria. A touch of soy towards the finish completes an attractive Saint- Pierre. »
