5ème grand cru classé

Since 2009 and the acquisition by Mr. Lorenzetti, we can talk about a new vintage wine classified in Pauillac. Unworthy of his ranking, Pédesclaux had until then disappeared from the Bordeaux scene. The ambition and resources of the new owner are there: complete overhaul of the installations, acquisition of new plots of land ideally located. The first vintages offer the image of a supple and easily accessible Pauillac, at a price that defies all competition in the appellation.

Revue du Vin de France : 92-93/100 « La proportion des cabernets dans le grand vin est historique en 2023 (80 %), ce qui lui convient à merveille. Il délivre un beau nez de fruits rouges écrasés. On retrouve ces notes en bouche, avec un côté acidulé, très “cabernet” dans sa structure, mêlant tension, précision et grande longueur. »
Bettane & Desseauve : 93-94/100 ♥ Coup de cœur « Le vin le plus équilibré et le plus harmonieux des dernières années, avec un côté floral élégant qui le rapproche dans ce millésime du style des pauillacs sur la finesse et la sève. »
Le Point : 16.5-17/20 « Nez discret, bouche veloutée, tanins doux, bonne longueur. Droit, sans creux, finale tannique mais sans dureté. »
Quarin : 94/100 « Belle couleur sombre, très unie. Nez intense, fin et subtil. Touches raffinées d'encre et de bois blond. Délicat. Minutieux en entrée de bouche et de suite tramé, avec de la classe dans le toucher, le vin glisse, fond, résiste à la palpation. Il s'achève sur une longue finale savoureuse dont le gras laisse augurer d'un bel avenir après l'élevage. Une réussite. »
Galloni : 92-94/100 « The 2023 Pedesclaux is one of the best wines I have tasted here in some time, maybe ever. It offers a striking mix of ripe dark fruit and bright acids. My impression is that the extractions are less pushed, which really seems to emphasize vibrancy in the fruit. The 10% Cabernet Franc really lifts the aromatics, but it's the wine's balance and energy that I admire most. Terrific. »
Martin : 89-91/100 « The 2023 Pédesclaux  has a comparatively opulent bouquet with perfumed black cherries, violet petals and a hint of licorice. I would like a little more Pauillac DNA to be articulated on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, quite peppery on the entry, with modest depth. Salted licorice and graphite notes emerge toward what feels like a more structured finish. »
