A talented and perfectionist winemaker, Denis Durantou, at the service of a great terroir on the edge of the church of Pomerol between Lafleur and Clinet. L'Église-Clinet is one of the most subtle Pomerols in terms of its aromatic precision, fine grain and satiny texture. Mr. Durantou passed away far too soon in 2020, but fortunately he has three daughters who are united and determined to continue their father's work.

Revue du Vin de France : 96-98/100 « La puissance du vin saisit le dégustateur, on manque même de mots pour couvrir toute sa diversité de parfums (fleurs capiteuses, tombée de fruits noirs, terre humide…) et son jeu de texture, à la fois dense et délicate, le tout dynamisé par une énergie envoûtante et une salinité fine. Harmonieux, veiné d’une délicate acidité et de tanins étirés, il aura une carrière en cave d’au moins trente ans. »
Bettane & Desseauve : 96/100 ♥ Coup de cœur « Belle vitalité du fruit en attaque, avec un modèle de style recherché par les actuelles propriétaires, pour la fraîcheur de constitution et un phrasé soyeux délicieux déclinant des accents de violette, de pivoine et une touche saline bienvenue. »
Quarin : 97/100 « Couleur sombre, intense et pourpre. Nez très aromatique, fin, fruité et complexe. Touche raffinée de framboises, de réglisse zan et de vanille à l'agitation du verre. Superbe entrée en bouche caressante, fraîche et délicatement pulpeuse. Puis le vin fond parfumé, juteux et calme dans son déroulé. Il gagne une puissance minutieusement contenue en finale. Très belle persistance longue et séveuse.  »
Galloni : 94-97/100 « The 2023 L'Eglise-Clinet is fabulous. Rich, deep and vertical in structure, this is all poise. Nothing in particular stands out, as all the elements are impeccably balanced. Time in the glass helps this open a bit, but the 2023 is a wine of reserve-a wine that is not showing all its cards. Gravel, incense, tobacco, dried herbs and mocha open with some coaxing. This will be stellar in time. »
Martin : 98/100 « The 2023 L'Eglise-Clinet  has a stunning bouquet with enthralling delineation and focus, very intense with blackberries, raspberry, crushed stone, Earl Grey and a touch of blood orange. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-boned tannins and a dash of cracked black pepper. It's very harmonious and fans out brilliantly on the finish. It is surely going to vie with the stupendous 2022, and this ranks as one of the best wines of the vintage. »
