The 2018 vintage is rated 90/100 by Neal Martin “The 2018 Alcée, the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux from Nicolas Thienpont, has a rather thick, dense bouquet of opulent blackberry and cassis fruit. It is certainly the most sumptuous of Thienpont’s wines this vintage.” (Jan. 2021)

Small estate of 6.5 hectares of Côtes de Francs, where Mr. Thienpont, also owner of Puyguéraud and La Prade, produces an excellent white wine vinified in barrels of 500 liters, long, fat and smooth, with a judicious point of acidity.
Rated 92/100 by A. Galloni (Vinous) "Les Charmes Godard 2022 is predominantly Semillon in this vintage, with smaller pieces of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris. In 2021, Les Charmes Godard is brighter and more concentrated than in the past. Time in bottle will help release some of its underlying texture, but readers will not find the softer contours that are typical here." (January 2024)
