The 2018 vintage in the press:
En Magnum (April 2021): 93/100 “Harmonious substance highlighted by the sincerity of the fruit. This vintage reveals itself to be technically well bordered by millimetred ageing. Haut-Carles continues to impress with its mastery and style, always round and immediately drinkable. Definitely one of the benchmarks of the Fronsadais”
Vinous (A. Galloni - March 2021): 92/100 "The 2018 Haut-Carles is impressive. Inky dark fruit, lavender, spice, menthol, licorice, blood orange and mint are all laced together in a Fronsac that is opulent yet also nuanced for its size. Beautifully ripe, generous and inviting, Haut-Carles has much to offer. This is a terrific showing."
