Les Trois Croix is the personal property of Mr. Léon, who was technical director of Mouton-Rothschild for more than 20 years. He is dedicated to producing straightforward, digestible Fronsacs, among the most elegant and distinguished in the sector. The dresses are not the darkest but the power and harmony are there. In confidence!

The 2019 vintage in the press:

Vinous (N. Martin - December 2021): 93/100 "The 2019 Les Trois Croix has a beautifully defined bouquet of brambly red fruit laced with pencil lead and woodland aromas, billowing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins that disguise the blackbone oh this Fronsac, but the freshness is obvious on the finish. Superb".

The 2021 vintage in the press:

Vinous (N. Martin - November 2023): 89/100 “The 2021 Les Trois Croix retains a rather low-key bouquet, but one that is well-defined with black fruit, licorice and autumn leaves. The palate is medium-bodied with smooth tannins, relatively fleshy and caressing in the mouth. It's quite savory toward the finish with a lightly spiced aftertaste. Enjoy it over the next eight to ten years.”

The 2017 vintage in the press:

Vinous (N. Martin-February 2020): 92/100 “The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins, a superb line of acidity and a sublime, quite mineral-driven finish that is pure class. This comes highly recommended.”

Vinous (A.Galloni-March 2020): 92/100 “The 2017 Les Trois Croix is just as compelling from bottle as it was from barrel. Inky, racy and voluptuous to the core, the 2017 offers superb depth and tons of sheer character. [...] The 2017 is fabulous. That's all there is to it.”

The 2016 vintage in the press:

Vinous (N. Martin - December 2018): 92/100 "The 2016 Les Trois Croix is blessed with a superb bouquet of vivacious red cherry and raspberry fruit laced with rose petal and graphite scents. The fresh palate is medium-bodied and well balanced, offering grippy tannin and a fine bead of acidity. The dense, solid finish suggests that this will require three or four years in bottle".
