The 2021 vintage in the press:

La Revue du Vin de France (Guide 2025): 93/100 Coup de ♥ “La Croix assumes itself as the second wine, even though it's based on a dedicated plot. Built around Cabernets, it is straightforward, savory and sapid, with superb volume and integrated tannins on the palate.”

Vinous (N. Martin - December 2023): 93/100 “ The 2021 La Croix Ducru-Beaucaillou has a beautifully defined bouquet xhereby the Cabernet Sauvignon rules the roost, imparting fine minéralité and an attractive marine influence, quite cool and classic the palate is very saline on the entry, like walking down to the impressively persistent finish, this is a superb 2021 that will give 20 years of pleasure. This is just a whisker away in quamity from the Gran Vin.”

The 2016 vintage in the press:

Vinous (N. Martin - January 2020): 93/100 "The 2016 Croix de Beaucaillou has a very attractive bouquet of high-toned but controlled blackberry and blueberry fruit neatly enmeshed with some quality nex oak. The medium-bodied palate delivers fine-boned tannins, well-judged acidity and a silky-smooth, sensual finish that lingers long in the mouth. This is a very impressive 2016."

The 2021 vintage in the press:

La Revue du Vin de France (Guide 2025): 96/100 “The wine is impressive. With the highest proportion of Cabernet (98%) in the cru's history, it possesses insane class. A great laser-cut aristocrat, with a purity of fruit that sparkles.”

Vinous (A. Galloni - December 2023): 98/100 “The Ducru-Beaucaillou 2021 captures all the potential it showed in barrel. A delicate, restrained wine, the 2021 impresses above all with its finesse. All the elements are impeccably balanced. Time in the glass brings out the wine's inner sweetness and gorgeous perfume. The balance with the oak, sometimes difficult here, is also flawless. With less alcohol and therefore less oak extraction than recent vintages, the 2021 promises to be a modern-day classic.”

The 2016 vintage in the press:

Vinous (N. Martin - June 2021): 97/100 "The 2016 Ducru-Beaucaillou has an ethereal bouquet, the purest on any Ducru-Beaucaillou, with copious dark cherries, violet and mineral scents, a touch of forest floor emerges with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity, a little more red fruit towards the finish than the 2018 tasted alongside and maybe just beginning to close up to mature over the long-term. What a fantastic wine, one that will vie with the 2009 and maybe the 2018 as one of the peaks."

The 2015 vintage in the press:

Vinous (N. Martin - June 2021): 94/100 "The 2015 Ducru-Beaucaillou is a vintage that requires more time to settle and decide what it wants to be. The nose needs just a little more cohesion and focus, quite upfront and overtly floral, perhaps more than it needs to be and it just slightly occludes the terroir expression at the moment. The palate is smooth and velvety, with moderate depth and fine acidity. I sometimes find this a little lactic on the finish, as I do here; perhaps I might actually prefer the 2017 tasted alongside which shows more tension on the finish. A fine Ducru-Beaucaillou rather thn a truly great one."

The 2011 vintage in the press:

Vinous (N. Martin - June 2021): 94/100 "The Ducru-Beaucaillou has the same analysis as the 2009 and 2010 in terms of IPT. It has a very well defined bouquet with intense black fruit intermingling with dried herbs and liquorice; strangely, the 2011 is not unlike the 2005 in character and also being "not ready". The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fine acidity, sweet and generous yet with countervailing acidity and a gorgeous, pure and nuanced finish. This is one of the real surpises of this vertical and must rank as one of the best Left Bank wines of the vintage."
