The 2021 vintage is rated 90/100 by Antonio Galloni “The Puygueraud 2021 is a pretty floral red carried by lively acids and beautiful aromas. Medium-bodied and quite graceful, the 2021 is a charmer. Dried red berries, cedar, sweet tobacco and spices linger in this delicate, discreet Côtes de Bordeaux.” (December 2023)
Small estate of 6.5 hectares of Côtes de Francs, where Mr. Thienpont, also owner of Puyguéraud and La Prade, produces an excellent white wine vinified in barrels of 500 liters, long, fat and smooth, with a judicious point of acidity.
Rated 92/100 by A. Galloni (Vinous) "Les Charmes Godard 2022 is predominantly Semillon in this vintage, with smaller pieces of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris. In 2021, Les Charmes Godard is brighter and more concentrated than in the past. Time in bottle will help release some of its underlying texture, but readers will not find the softer contours that are typical here." (January 2024)

The 2020 vintage is rated 91/100 by Antonio Galloni “The 2020 Puygueraud has become a magnificent wine. Floral and spicy notes bring freshness to this fruity, supple Francs Côtes de Bordeaux. This is the first vintage in which part of the wine has been aged in barrel, giving the 2020 an attractive freshness that I didn't feel in the primeur. Raspberry jam, white flowers, rose petal and a touch of cinnamon are just some of the notes that adorn this exquisite Francs Côtes de Bordeaux from Nicolas Thienpont. “(December 2022)

A 6 ha property (92% Merlot) acquired in 2011 by Mr. Thienpont (Pavie-Macquin, Larcis-Ducasse...). After a break-in period, Alcée takes off in 2016, standing out from its neighbours by its emphasis on finesse, minerality and distinction. A wine with more length than breadth.
Already ranked among the "essential producers" in the 2019 Bettane&Desseauve guide.
The 2021 vintage is rated 91/100 by Antonio Galloni “L'Alcée 2021 is round, succulent and very expressive. A multitude of perfumed, savory top notes bring aromatic presence to this charming, medium-heavy Côtes de Bordeaux from Nicolas Thienpont. All elements are impeccably balanced. Lively acidity reinforces the whole on a finish embellished with pretty floral notes and salty scents.“(December 2023)

The 2018 vintage is rated 90/100 by Neal Martin “The 2018 Alcée, the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux from Nicolas Thienpont, has a rather thick, dense bouquet of opulent blackberry and cassis fruit. It is certainly the most sumptuous of Thienpont’s wines this vintage.” (Jan. 2021)
