The 2021 vintage in the press:
La Revue du Vin de France (February 2024): 90/100 “Still a must-have from Francs, Puygueraud stands out for its freshness, moderate concentration and appealing tenderness in the middle palate. Already accessible and delicious".
Vinous (A.Galloni-December 2023): 90/100 “Puygueraud 2021 is a pretty floral red driven by lively acids and lovely aromas. Medium-bodied and quite graceful, the 2021 is a charmer. Dried red berries, cedar, sweet tobacco and spices linger in this delicate, discreet Côtes de Bordeaux.”
Small estate of 6.5 hectares of Côtes de Francs, where Mr. Thienpont, also owner of Puyguéraud and La Prade, produces an excellent white wine vinified in barrels of 500 liters, long, fat and smooth, with a judicious point of acidity.
The 2021 vintage in the press:
La Revue du Vin de France (Guide 2025) : 91/100 “Lots of freshness in the 2021 white, a trio of Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris: bright, citrus tones, slender and tonic without nervousness.”
Vinous (A. Galloni - January 2024) : 92/100 “Charmes Godard 2022 is predominantly Semillon in this vintage, with smaller pieces of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris. In 2021, Les Charmes Godard is brighter and more concentrated than in the past. Time in bottle will help release some of its underlying texture, but readers won't find the softer contours that are typical here.”

The 2020 vintage in the press:
Vinous (A.Galloni-December 2022): 91/100 “The 2020 Puygueraud has developed into a gorgeous wine. Bright floral and spice notes lend freshness to this fruity, supple Francs Côtes de Bordeaux. This is the first vintage in which a portion of the wine was aged in cask, which has given the 2020 an attractive freshness that I did not sense en primeur. Raspberry jam, white flowers, rose petal and a touch of cinnamon are some of the notes that grace this exquisite Francs Côtes de Bordeaux from Nicolas Thienpont.”

The 2021 vintage in the press:
Vinous (A.Galloni-December 2023): 91/100 “L'Alcée 2021 is round, succulent and very expressive. A multitude of perfumed, savory top notes bring aromatic presence to this charming, medium-weight Côtes de Bordeaux from Nicolas Thienpont. All elements are impeccably balanced. Bright acidity reinforces the whole on a finish embellished with pretty floral and salty notes.”

The 2018 vintage in the press:
Vinous (N. Martin-January 2021): 90/100 “L'Alcée 2018, Nicolas Thienpont's Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux, has a fairly thick, dense bouquet of opulent blackberries and cassis. It is certainly the most sumptuous of Thienpont's wines for this vintage.”
